WOW Amsterdam proudly contributes to this coming instalment of SBK Sprouts Young Talents 2017 at SBK Amsterdam. An overview exhibition of fifty of the Netherlands’ most talented artists from all Dutch art schools, half of whom have only just graduated.

This year’s edition will be even bigger and bolder in scope. It will take place at Loods 6, an 880m2 space on KNSM-eiland and at SBK Amsterdam. It will also include work by previous Sprouts alumni. In collaboration with WOW Amsterdam, the artists can also take part in a Speeddate session with the AFK and professional artists to discuss their future plans.

This year will also include work of three Artists in Residence from WOW:

Karim Adduchi is a painter, illustrator and fashion designer from Barcelona whose work is a merger between the classical and the contemporary.

Geray Mena is a photographer and artist from Spain who is fascinated by the history and idiom of the objects he portraits. Walking the line between whats real and whats illusionary.

Max Schulze is a painter and writer. Using these two forms to make us question the nature of our history and our everyday life.

The collaboration between SKB and WOW embodies their shared goal to promote young creative talent.
